Last night Nylon threw a party at the London Hotel to celebrate the launch of their denim June/July issue feat cover girl Drew Barrymore. Drew hosted the party, and spotted in the crowd were Michelle Rodriguez, Kelly Osbourne, Peaches Geldolf, and Jeremy Scott. Express Jeans held a jeans bar, and The Misshapes were there to provide the soundtrack.

This past weekend, our very own Marni Golden (STARWORKS veteran and editorial guru) celebrated her 30th birthday. The festivities began on with a bash at Above Allen at Thompson LES, where Marni’s family, friends, colleagues danced, mingled and enjoyed one of the best rooftop views of New York City.

Seeing as it’s August, and seeing as most city dwellers have fled to tropical locations, Starworks Group thought: “What a perfect opportunity to reminisce about a time when Summer really was an excuse for escape and reinvention.”

Last Thursday, Lucky magazine toasted Jessica Simpson’s appearance on the September cover of the magazine with an intimate dinner at Soho House in Los Angeles. Jessica had two other reasons to celebrate – a new beau and the launch of her first denim collection, which she wears on the shopping bible’s cover. The self-proclaimed “jeans-and-t-shirt” girl provided goodies from her collection for the gift bags, which included a denim button-down, fedora, earrings, scarf and, of course, a copy of the magazine.

Jessica’s summer romance was in full effect at the dinner, as boyfriend, Eric Johnson stopped by to support his new love. The newly 30-year-old cover girl has never seemed happier or more confident, and it seems she has officially come into her own. Perhaps she’s had a new stroke of luck??
