It’s only fitting that I’m sitting next to my favorite import, Lou Dillon at Herve Leger. She IS the Herve Leger woman: unapologetically sexual and fiercely self-assured… the kind of woman thats roll out of bed, tosses her hair, and throws on a hot little tight dress, all the while daring the world to judge her.

AnOther goes to Red Hook

AnOther Magazine celebrates its 15th issue Brooklyn-style…

(Jefferson Hack, Mark Ronson, Anouk Lepore, and Sophia Lamar)

I went to AnOther magazine party hosted by Dazed founder Jefferson Hack. It was in a warehouse in a desolate area of Red Hook, Brooklyn. The home (of artist Dustin Yellin) had a living room feel to it. There was an amazing dance performance by the troupe Stephen Petronio Company. They were great! Due to the rain and distance, all the other usual fashion people who seek the party-hopping-train fell wayward —- so that’s why this party felt like family. It was a true gathering of “friends and family” of the magazine.

Then it got better… Jefferson brought out the “magic brownies” in honor of Mark Ronson’s birthday. It sure created some magic in the room. People danced their asses off — especially when Jefferson put on a T-shirt that had no sleeves and florescent green lightning rods.

It was NOT just another party … but cool it was.
