Wellies? Check. Rain slicker? Check. Hospitality bracelet? Check. Sun? Um…WHAT??? Yes, that’s right! This year’s Glastonbury Music Festival included one key, but certainly abnormal, ingredient: gorgeous weather!

Glasto- Lyle&Lily
(Lily Donaldson and me in the Hospitality Bar area, sporting Lacoste hats!)

This was my first time at the Festival and, I’m happy to report, it did not disappoint! Nestled between the rolling hills of the English countryside, 100,000 fans came together to celebrate their collective love of music, taking in electric performances by everyone from Neil Young to Lady Gaga, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to The Ting Tings, and the Festival’s Saturday evening headliner, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Glasto- Kaya
(Kaya Scodelario, star of UK TV drama “Skins,” in a Lacoste hat and tank)

Glasto- Lizzie Jagger
(Lizzie Jagger, rocking Diesel sunglasses!)

Along with V Magazine’s Derek Blasberg and Starworks’ James Grant, I made my home base behind a blue double-decker bus, which served as a farm stand of sorts for British designer Alice Temperley’s family to sell their homegrown spiced cider, a tradition that they have been doing for years at the Festival. Others also congregating there included British supermodels Jacquetta Wheeler and Lily Donaldson, rock scions Alexandra and Theodora Richards and musician and current face of CK Jeans Jamie Burke.

Though a few overnight showers led to muddy mornings (hence the wellies!), by mid day the sun was shining and everyone was completely carefree. Something tells me this will not be my last experience at the Glastonbury Festival!
