I’ve been researching an actress all morning that I have to interview for one of our favorite magazine clients, a sleek fashion book called The Last Magazine. This actress starred in a British TV series based off a film called The Worst Witch which at first made me scratch my head thinking…. hmm… why does that ring a bell? YouTube to the rescue!

Anyway, turns out there was an 80′s flick on TV when I grew up. It’s something most American girls might remember since this TV movie was played on constant rotation every Halloween. It was sooooo bad it was good.

The cast? A pre-goth Fairuza Balk when she was a little girl (who went on to do the “adult” witch movie, The Craft), Charlotte Ray (Mrs. Garret of Facts of Life), and do not forget Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show), doing a hilariously bad horror song called “Anything Bad Can Happen on Halloween”. Add lo-fi graphics, crappy special effects, good intentions, and annual airings on network television…. and voila! You got an awkward witch stew burned into your brain for life.

Ahhhh, memories! Thought I’d share. Ok, back to my research. Maybe I will bring up this kooky TV show on tomorrow’s interview… maybe I won’t. Either way, don’t forget to buy The Last Magazine next issue to see who it is.
