Bag Auction for Earthquake Victims

Tuesday night Ferragamo kicked off a charity auction at their Rodeo Drive boutique to benefit the victims of the 6.3 massive earthquake that devastated the town of L’Aguila, Italy. The event, hosted by Debi Mazar and Adrian Grenier, showcased 10 bags donated and signed by Madonna, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Dita Von Teese, Gwyneth Palrow, Marisa Tomei, Lily Tomlin, Lucy Liu and Debi Mazar that are to be auctioned off between June 3-12 on Ebay. All proceeds from the auction will go to GlobalGiving, an organization focused on community based projects around the world, and in this case, Italy’s Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund.

Carlos, Lauren, Greg (who was in town from NY covering a shoot for Wonderland), and myself attended the event. Feeling a bit underdressed since I had no time to change after leaving the office, we walked in the party and made a bee line for the bar where they were serving a delicious concoction of cucumber, mint, sour mix, and vodka. Then we spotted stylist Jenny Ricker with Michael Russo (assistant to Cristina Ehrlich) in the shoe department already sipping on their cocktails and decided to join them. Five seconds later, I realized Carlos and Greg had been whisked away by none other than the one and only Kojo. As we all settled into the party, Debi Mazar got on the mic and kicked off the auction! Unfortunately Greg and I had to leave and begin the search for a Vegan friendly restaurant for him to eat at, but the event was definitely still going strong, and by the looks off the bids on Ebay, it was a divine success!
