I am in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, which must be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Luxuriant landscape, constantly breaking surf that is hypnotic and far off on the reefs. I am sitting re-reading Hamlet for the umpteenth time. A ritual I sort of have just before I start something new. My novel has started to take shape out of the mists of my mind, where it has been swirling around for a time. And, now it comes, falteringly, but surely…

Next week I begin directing a short film for my fragrance for Comme de Garcons but my head is far away from the world of fashion for the time being.
So, it was so FUNNY to read on the web that I am on the new board of Pop Magazine with Dasha Zhukova and my friend Ashley Heath. It was flattering but not true I am afraid. It came as a complete surprise. A complete misunderstanding! That is the nature of the web.
Saying that, though, I am sure that Pop will be marvelous. Dasha is great and I have no doubt that she will do something brilliant with Ashley.
I am very much looking forward to September to see what they will do.
