Westwood Homage

Jen’s clothing line is called WW†. Jen just created this T-shirt of Vivienne Westwood. The T-shirts are described as “super duper thin cotton” so it’s nice to wear them a bit loose….
Jauretsi: Why Vivienne?
Jen Wannarachue: She’s always been a huge inspiration to me, her whole sort of crazy and twisted vibe is something I’ve connected with. It’s an homage to the queen of punk fashion.
Jauretsi: Why did you choose this specific portrait of her?
JW: The photo is of her at her Sex fetish store (in 1976) that she ran with Malcolm McLaren in London in the mid to late 70’s (before it was Seditionaries). The colors in the photo are really gorgeous too. At the time she probably had no idea what a huge influence she’d have on the fashion world and what an icon she’d become.
Sold at TheReedSpace in the Lower East Side, and Bahaus in UK ($60).
