Prada has commissioned 9 Directors to create short films inspired by “the sensory associations of the Infusion d’Homme perfume”. The directors were given no strict rules other than to “challenge the idea of perfume for a man”. No pricetag has been disclosed, but we do know that the selections were based on scripts that were submitted.

Prada brought on big wig editor Pietro Scalia (2 time Oscar winner — Oliver Stone’s JFK and Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down) to create the final body of work and link all together. The individual shorts can be viewed now on the website and in stores. They are also looking to syndicate to other websites and plan screening events.

Smart move for Prada — utilizing the web to the best of their ability, while branding their new fragrance and offering creative freedom to filmmakers.

Go to Prada.com and look under “Projects” to view each short film. The finished piece with all 9 parts sewn up together by Pietro will premiere in September on the same website.
