Just got a sweet email from the lady who impressed me in Donnie Darko and Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys — and don’t forget the mind expanding Contact, as the daughter of a mad scientist (Jodi Foster) in search of another dimension. Anyway, Jena wants you all to know that she’s doing a few shows with her band, Shoe. This particular tour has a treasure map journey of Los Angeles in mind. Break a leg, Jen!

may 18: The start of the tour! the outdoor calls! and not a whisper
but a roar. the shoe plays in the field next to the entrance to rattle
snake park. by the l.a. river. on the cross section of FLETCHER AND
RIPPLE ST. We start at 2:30 pm…for the birds. they like the smell
of a just ripening sunday.

may 19: This show starts at 6:30 pm. We play at 650 HOOVER STREET.
Just below melrose. cross street lucille. this lovely show is about
the traffic and the triangle in space. we make, they merge and the
children meet.

may 20: The third show is for the sky. the swallow and the spell. and
the special appearance of trombone. We play at 7:00 pm at 6363
WILSHIRE BLVD. This rooftop. this wine stop. bring a bucket of sand.
and a folding chair.

may 21: The fourth show acoustic. and the introduction of a video
spell. inside the house/abode of a dear friend and shoe helper. We
play at 1918 PINEHURST ST la, ca 90068 at dusk. After the show there
will be a screening of “Lying” written and directed by M blash. Bring
a lover…

may 22: The 5th show… the final outdoor. coco’s mini mart. games
and tags and a little monkey dance. we start at 6:30 pm and plan to
end the festivities by dark, deep dark mind you. the address is 2200
NORTH SOTO STREET la, ca 90032.

may 23: The final show, the intimate burst. we play in a mock chapel
on a hill made of dirt. drinks after the show. come stay awhile and
love YOUR NEIGHBOR. KOREATOWN FOREVER!! 916 FEDORA ST la, ca 90006
we play at 7:30 pm…and then drink after. let us pray our names into
the cement. amen
