Lemaire

The guys at Refinery29 have an interesting new interview with Christophe Lemaire, the Creative Director for Lacoste. I remember when he joined the classic brand, as the new blood was received with a warm welcome and a huge New York introduction launch (spun by yours truly) in 2000. Anyway, I recall his excellent taste in music — Lemaire was an ex-DJ in Paris, in addition to his past pedigree of design, with gigs at Yves Saint Laurent and then Christian Lacroix.
Lemaire is the name of his own personal clothing line, where he channels his other creative spurts of inspiration outside of his Lacoste job — “It’s like therapy” he tells R29.
