Every time I stroll down Elizabeth Street I bump into this mailbox, and it makes me laugh inside. We cast Luxury campaigns here all day, but I mean, really, who’s a better spokesperson than Kermie? He’s a pretty unpretentious dude, and he wasn’t afraid of a strong woman (Miss Piggie).

On my way to work earlier this month, I also saw a gigantic line of young skater kids — some locals, some japanese — huddled in the alley in front of the store on Lafayette eagerly awaiting their chance to buy the new Kermie line. It rivaled the gigantic lines I see in front of the Sigerson Morrison shoe sample sales just a few blocks away. We’re all nerds when it comes to fashion.

The Kermie ads (photographed by Terry Richardson) are also planted on some cool Japanese websites such as Honeybee, who has guest bloggers like Kaws and Hiroshi Fujiwara.

The product has been available a few weeks now, but it is a Limited Edition, so grab the last few T-shirts or decks on the Supreme website. Even if you don’t skate, the triple deck series hung on a wall make a good art piece.
