About a year ago, I heard a mixed tape compiled by AIR called Late Night Tales.
It’s super dreamy and trippy. There was one song however that sunk its hooks into me, and haunted me like nobody’s business. The track is called “Come Wander with Me”.

I only today figured out where the hell the song came from. It was from the last season of Twilight Zone!

You must watch this video. A profound statement indeed on the meaning of “a song” — you could say its about the brutal honesty or the ownership of a tune. But I won’t tell you my take, because its open to many interpretations. You’d have to watch the whole episode to further dissect the philosophies behind this tale. Frankly, I can’t believe this deep stuff used to play on network television…
Anyway, I normally don’t plug in albums released 1 year ago, but a good mixed tape is a good mixed tape. Late Night Tales also included “Planet Caravan” by Black Sabbath, “O’Venezia Venaga Venusia” by Nino Rota, “Lovin’ You” by Minnie Riperton, and “I Shall Be Released” by The Band, as well as other mellow gold nuggets. It’s a nicely compiled group of elegant songs to play at home this season.
